Our early environments contributed to shaping who we have become, how we form relationships and move through the world. If our caregiving environments were less than responsive, the healthy development of a sense of being heard, seen, accepted and enjoyed could have been thwarted. Although these early experiences can keep us stuck, it is how we carry those experiences, which is addressed in the therapy setting. We might have learned to self-protect by emotional withdrawal, shut down, control, or to disappear. These patterns can show up in many forms, which can be undone, over time, in the presence of a well-trained and compassionate listener. I would like to have the opportunity to help facilitate your growth, through a deep commitment to yourself and your work with me.
